Yann Seznec / `The Amazing Rolo`

Project Outline

Yann Seznec - The Amazing Rolo - has developed the Wii Loop Machine; an experimental piece of software that can create, edit and shape music that is controlled using a Nintendo Wiimote. Yann will play throughout the two days, and host a series of drop in workshops in which he will hand-build a collection of instruments using Wii technology to form a live ‘Wii band’. The public will have the opportunity to join in and have fun making their own creative music.

As Yann is constructing the instruments, the audience can follow his progress and he will be on hand to answer any questions from the public regarding his work.

Biography

The Amazing Rolo is sound designer, musician, and digital artist Yann Seznec. He is based in Edinburgh, and is currently Artist in Residence at the University of Abertay Dundee. Yann is the founder of Lucky Frame Limited, which is developing his Wii Loop Software and he specialises in interactive installations and creative audio and sound performances.
